Our Mission and Values

Our hospital’s mission and values center on excellence in patient care, community service, education, and environmental sustainability. We prioritize quality healthcare through rigorous standards, support the community during crises, and collaborate with academic institutions to train future healthcare professionals. Additionally, we promote sustainability with renewable energy and eco-friendly practices, reflecting our commitment to innovation and social responsibility.

Excellence in Patient Care

The primary mission of our hospital is to provide the highest quality of medical and surgical care to all patients, along with exceptional service. To achieve this, the management has committed to a Quality approach based on the Ministry of Health's accreditation standards and ISO 9001-2000 quality management principles. We have been accredited three times (2001, 2005, and 2011) by the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the French Haute Autorité de Santé and the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products. Additionally, we achieved the ISO 9001-2000 certification in 2006.

Our patient-centered approach places quality at the core of every aspect of our hospital. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of service across all areas, including healthcare practices, medical equipment, patient reception and hospitality. We strive to ensure the best possible experience and outcomes for our patients and continue to innovate our services and standards of care to abide by international guidelines.

Commitment to the Community

Our hospital is built on a foundation of family values, where compassionate care and personal attention are at the heart of everything we do. Founded by dedicated doctors with a vision to serve the community, the leadership remains deeply involved in the daily operations, ensuring every decision reflects our commitment to high-quality, human-centered care.

For decades, we have been a trusted healthcare provider, continuously adapting to meet the needs of the Jbeil-Byblos community and the surrounding areas. As a private institution, we complement the public sector, which cannot fully meet the healthcare needs of the entire population. In 2019, we spearheaded the installation of the first Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in Byblos Old Town, enhancing emergency response in the area.

Throughout Lebanon's crises, we have remained committed to offering high-quality services at accessible prices. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded our facilities with a 24-bed intensive care and hospitalization unit, despite resource constraints. Over 300 patients were admitted to the hospital, and nearly 500 received care in the emergency department.

After the Beirut Port explosion in 2020, the hospital provided timely care to 150 victims. Following this tragedy, we updated our crisis management procedures in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO). These improvements allowed the hospital to respond effectively to various crisis situations, particularly during the 2024 war, delivering timely and high-quality care to hundreds of war victims and displaced individuals.

Continued Education

We fulfill our training mission on a regional level by partnering with esteemed institutions such as the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University, the University of Saint Esprit Kaslik (USEK), the University Institute of the Holy Family in Batroun, the University of Balamand, and the Lebanese American University (LAU). Through these collaborations, we play a key role in training doctors, dietitians, midwives, registered nurses, radiology technicians, physiotherapists, and pharmacists.

In 2018, the hospital signed an affiliation agreement with the LAU School of Medicine, establishing an important collaboration in medical education and healthcare. This agreement was renewed in 2021, reflecting the continuity of this partnership.

Additionally, we leverage our expertise in quality and patient safety to support and enhance the skills of the local medical community. We host regular conferences and presentations where health practitioners from the hospital and the community participate.

In 2018 and 2019, the hospital, in collaboration with New Health Concept, organized two international congresses on emergency medicine under the banner of 'Byblos Health,' attracting speakers and participants from over 10 countries.

Environmental Responsibility

In 2023, we implemented a solar energy system, which currently covers a significant portion of our electricity consumption. This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact.

We also actively participate in recycling efforts, collecting recyclable waste to minimize our ecological footprint. Additionally, we handle infectious waste with the highest safety standards to protect both the environment and public health.
